Consultation meeting on Draft Self-Assessment Framework and Draft Concept of Quality Award
The ETF, in close cooperation with DG EMPL, is implementing the project The International Dimension of Centres of Vocational Excellence: Building Vocational Excellence through International Cooperation. The project is concerned to develop a self-evaluation tool that will help vocational schools to evaluate the scope of their activities, the quality of their performance and their capability as organisations or networks. The tool aims to support a shared international understanding of what it means to be a CoVE and to enable CoVEs to share good practice, learn about what other CoVEs are doing and work together to improve and extend their activities.
A Consultation Panel has been established to accompany the work of the project over the next two years and to validate its outputs. The Panel includes representatives from international and national VET Associations, national Ministries, Erasmus plus CoVE projects, donor organisations, EQAVET and the ENE Network.
Over the course of this year, the team has drafted a set of criteria and indicators that will form the framework for self-evaluation by CoVEs. This consultation will give teachers, trainers and managers working in vocational schools and training centres and their stakeholders the opportunity to evaluate the draft criteria and indicators. The webinar will provide an opportunity for participants to comment and propose improvements. In addition, participants will be invited to participate in a survey where they can provide additional comments on the draft criteria and indicators.
The Framework includes 23 criteria that address Teaching and Learning, Partnership and Cooperation and Governance and Funding. This webinar will focus on the 10 criteria that address Teaching and Learning. You may like to prepare for the webinar by reading the criteria and indicators set out in the attached file.
